Hilary Best is an Analyst with Purpose Capital, where she coordinates a variety of projects in our Research, Advisory, Portfolio Management and Strategy & Design practices. Hilary has conducted research projects for government and private sector clients, and has supported the development of social ventures and non-profits as they prepare for investment.
Hilary is currently working with the Ontario Trillium Foundation to demonstrate the impact of Future Fund investments, and study the extent to which a collective impact lens contributes to outcomes using a developmental evaluation approach, identify and track key indicators, build the capacity of Future Fund grantees, and mobilize knowledge in a compelling way.
Prior to joining Purpose Capital, Hilary was the research lead on The Fourth Wall: Transforming City Hall, an exhibit which identified opportunities to improve civic engagement practices in Toronto. Hilary holds a B.A (Honours) in Geography from McGill University and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation at OCADU.
