Dr. Linda Dayler is the Executive Director of Catholic Family Services of Hamilton. She has a diploma in nursing from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. During her 20 years in nursing she worked for the Victorian Order of Nurses and was a Director of Nursing in Long Term Care. She has a BA in Gerontology and Sociology from McMaster University; Master’ s in Public Administration from Queen’s University and a Doctorate in Leadership and Management from University of Phoenix. During her career she was the Assistant Executive Director of the District Health Council of Hamilton; Executive Director and Community Developer for the Trauma Prevention Council of Central West Ontario, where she developed over 40 community programs and worked with 22 coalitions. She accepted the position of Executive Director of Catholic Family Services of Hamilton in 2002. Over her career she has continued to be innovative and creative in her approach to leadership , community development and organizational change.
She is a systems thinker and believes that challenges are opportunities for change and leadership is the foundation for making change. Leaders are those that have influence over people and as leaders we have a responsibility to guide, support and teach others.
