April was a busy month for the Innoweave Team.
On April 4th, Santropol Roulant hosted a celebration for about half of the 14 organizations that recently completed the first wave of the six-month Impact & Strategic Clarity module.
On April 17th, we were in Toronto for a similar event hosted this time by the PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada Foundation. These two events enabled participating organizations to highlight their work and to reflect on their learnings from the process to a range of funders and community leaders.
On April 15th and 16th we were in Hamilton for the Innoweave Social Enterprise workshop and facilitator session delivered by Enp, in partnership with United Way of Burlington and Greater Hamilton Area. This workshop was designed to help organizations learn more about what a social enterprise is, and think through the first few steps of how to start their own social enterprise. 14 individuals participated in the facilitator training, and six organizations sent teams to the workshop.
As a reminder, Innoweave is based on partnerships with the community sector. We are always looking for organizations to host a workshop in their communities, facilitators who want to deliver these workshops, and partners to help make Innoweave a success at the program level.
