Nancy Dubois

DU B FIT Consulting |
Based in Scotland, ON, serving organizations across Canada

Nancy Dubois has been a leader across Ontario for many years in engaging people in advocacy efforts towards policy development. This has taken many forms – written manuals and tip sheets, hosting webinars, leading training sessions, and providing one on one and group coaching for specific issues. The topics have ranged from tanning salon policy, municipal alcohol policy, safer bars, organizational food policy, falls prevention policies with the construction industry, workplace health, to tobacco control and active transportation. Involved in all of these projects has been the need to engage the public and practitioners in influencing decision-makers. Strategies Nancy often employs in engaging stakeholders include persuasion techniques, motivational theory, Diffusion of Innovation concepts and Network Analysis. In deciding among these strategies, a key component of her approach is a thorough audience analysis of the decision-makers in order to customize the techniques. No matter the strategy used, a strong Business Case is usually key to moving forward and coaching efforts typically include the development of such.

As a professional facilitator and planner in the Ontario non-profit arena for over 20 years, Nancy brings the experience, expertise and energy needed for successful engagement.
