Brenda has been a consultant and entrepreneur is social finance since 1998.

Brenda is a founding consultant at Ellio Sustainability Consultants where she advises various clients on how to align their investment strategies with their social and environmental objectives.

Brenda cofounded, a free, bilingual, independent educational web platform on sustainable, responsible and impact investment for individual investors. She has been heavily involved in the development and financing of an affordable rental housing investment fund in Quebec. Brenda is V.P. of the Board of Capital Équitable, a fair trade investment fund, co-founder of Cataléthique, an organization that aims to accelerate the integration of sustainability in business practices, and current Board member and member of the impact investment committee of the Béati Foundation. She was formerly a Board member of the Responsible Investment Association and Chair of the Ethical Investors Group.
